Recipe: Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits at Home
At Protachow, we believe that the best treats are made from natural ingredients. While we take pride in our freeze-dried and dehydrated single-ingredient dog treats, we also understand the joy and satisfaction of making homemade treats for your furry friend. Here's a simple recipe you can try at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (make sure it's pure pumpkin, not pie filling)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (ensure it doesn't contain xylitol)
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix the pumpkin and peanut butter in a bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough is no longer sticky.
  5. Roll out the dough until it's about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut out your biscuits using a cookie cutter or a knife.
  7. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are hard.
  8. Let them cool before giving to your dog.
Remember, while homemade treats are a fun and loving way to reward your pet, they should form only a small part of your dog's overall diet. As with all treats, moderation is key.

Also, while trying out homemade recipes, ensure all ingredients are safe for dogs. Some foods can be toxic to dogs, like chocolate, certain artificial sweeteners (such as xylitol), grapes, onions, and more.

At Protachow, we're dedicated to providing your dog with nutritious, single-ingredient treats that promote their health and happiness. We use a meticulous freeze-drying or dehydration process to preserve all the natural flavors and nutritional goodness of our ingredients. If you're looking for a treat that's as close to natural and homemade as possible, consider our range of Protachow treats.
